Installer's take

The IDMAX 10 V4 needs a correctly sized enclosure to perform correctly, and ID publishes 0.75 cu ft for sealed. This box hits that number exactly. No guesswork, no compromise volume chosen for a standard shell profile. The 1.5" double-layer baffle and threaded inserts are structural requirements for a driver with 18+ Tm BL and 19.5mm one-way Xmax, not upgrades. The terminal cup is pre-wired with 12g OFC to your selected impedance. Mount the driver with the included 8/32 machine screws, connect your amp leads to the terminal cup, done. Box is 20" × 13" × 10" external. Compact enough for most trunk and hatch applications, the 10" depth is the dimension to verify against your available install space. Single driver, single chamber, 0.75 cu ft net. For customers: the IDMAX 10 V4 in a correctly sized sealed box will sound noticeably different from the same driver in a generic oversized enclosure, tighter, faster, more controlled. If they've been fighting their tune trying to compensate for a box that was too large, this enclosure changes that picture immediately.

Construction

Custom-Tuned Design for IDMAX 10" Subwoofer

Custom-Tuned Design for IDMAX 10" Subwoofer

Optimized for Maximum Performance

The enclosure is designed specifically for the Image Dynamics IDMAX 10" subwoofer. This custom-tuned construction ensures the subwoofer operates at peak efficiency, delivering crisp, accurate bass. The internal volume is meticulously calculated to enhance the subwoofer's output. This guarantees your audio system sounds as it was meant to.

Compact and Space-Efficient Design

Compact and Space-Efficient Design

Minimal Space, Maximum Impact

Despite its compact profile, the enclosure is engineered for big sound. The design maximizes every cubic inch to deliver powerful bass performance. This makes it an excellent choice for smaller vehicles or users with limited space. No compromises are made on sound quality, even with the efficient size.

Acoustic Precision and Sound Isolation

Acoustic Precision and Sound Isolation

Tight, Focused Sound

The sealed enclosure design keeps the bass response tight and controlled. Unlike vented designs, this approach avoids excessive air movement that can muddy sound clarity. The result is a balanced bass output that integrates seamlessly with the rest of the audio system. This ensures users experience a cohesive and immersive soundstage.

Professional Appearance

Professional Appearance

Sleek Design

The enclosure’s clean lines and carpet finish offer a professional, polished look. This aesthetic complements most vehicle interiors, adding a touch of sophistication to any setup. It’s designed to appeal to users who value both form and function. The appearance reflects the high-quality construction and engineering.

Questions

Does this enclosure fit the IDMAX 10 V4 in both D2 and D4 configurations?

Yes. The enclosure is built for the IDMAX 10 V4 in both Dual 2-ohm (D2) and Dual 4-ohm (D4). The physical driver dimensions are identical between variants, 9.65" cutout, 11.06" OD, 7.68" mounting depth. Select your impedance at checkout based on your amplifier's stable load rating.

Why is the net volume exactly 0.75 cu ft?

Because that is what Image Dynamics publishes as the recommended sealed volume for this driver. The IDMAX 10 V4 has a Qts of 0.44 (D4) to 0.50 (D2). Both in ideal sealed alignment territory. At 0.75 cu ft the system Q is controlled and transient response is fast. A larger box raises system Q and slows the bass. A smaller box overloads the suspension. This enclosure is built to the number the driver was designed around.

What is the front panel thickness and why does it matter?

The front baffle is 1.5" thick: two layers of 3/4" Langboard Elite MDF bonded and CNC-cut as one unit. The IDMAX 10 V4 has a BL factor of 18.15 Tm and 19.5mm one-way Xmax. Under sustained 1000W operation a single-layer baffle flexes, introducing distortion and mechanical stress on the driver's mounting hardware. The 1.5" double-layer eliminates that flex. Combined with threaded inserts and 8/32 machine screws, the driver stays precisely mounted at any output level.

What does pre-wired mean exactly?

The Proline X terminal cup comes pre-wired with 12-gauge OFC speaker wire run from the terminal to the driver mounting location inside the enclosure. When you install the IDMAX 10 and connect it to the internal leads, the wiring is complete. Connect your amplifier's speaker output to the terminal cup and the system is ready to run.

What makes the Professional Series different from other Proline X enclosure lines?

The Professional Series is built around individual drivers, not universal dimensions. Every build starts with the driver's published Thiele-Small parameters and works outward from there. The result is driver-specific airspace, a 1.5" double-layer baffle minimum, threaded inserts matched to the driver's bolt pattern, extensive internal bracing, and Plush Black carpet as the standard finish. Other Proline X lines are designed to fit a class of drivers. The Professional Series is designed for one driver.

Is shipping actually included or are there fees added at checkout?

Shipping is fully included. What you see is what you pay, no freight charges, no handling fees at checkout. The enclosure ships via UPS Ground. Allow 2–5 business days for final assembly before it ships.

Can I mount the IDMAX 10 V4 with standard wood screws?

The enclosure uses threaded inserts pressed into the baffle for a metal-to-metal connection, not wood screws into MDF. Wood screws in MDF lose torque under vibration and strip on remount. The threaded insert system maintains consistent clamping force across the driver's mounting flange regardless of how many times the driver is removed and reinstalled.

Does the enclosure come assembled and ready to install?

Yes. The enclosure arrives fully assembled, carpeted, and pre-wired. Install the IDMAX 10 V4 into the baffle opening using the 8/32 machine screws, connect the driver's voice coil leads to the internal wiring, and connect your amplifier to the terminal cup. The driver is not included and must be ordered separately.
