Installer's take
The 10W7AE-3 is JL Audio's reference 10", 23mm one-way Xmax, 750W RMS, single 3Ω. It's a compact driver that produces output well above what its size suggests when it's in the right enclosure. This box is that enclosure. Net volume is 1.7 cu ft ported at 33Hz with 22 sq in of port area. JL's published minimum is 1.5 cu ft. Running 1.7 gives the driver more breathing room relative to its Vas and produces a smoother low-frequency response. The 33Hz tuning prioritizes extension over peak SPL. Right call for a SQ-oriented 10" build. Port area is 22 sq in, which keeps air velocity manageable at 750W into a 1.7 cu ft enclosure. Small ported boxes with undersized ports chuff at volume. This one won't. Baffle is 1.5" double-layer with twelve-point #10-32 threaded inserts. Same bolt pattern as the 12W7AE and 13W7AE. Terminal cup pre-wired 12g OFC. Amplifier sees 3Ω directly. No wiring decisions. Box is 32" × 12.5" × 15" external, ~48 lbs. Notably lighter and lower profile than the 12W7AE and 13W7AE boxes, the 12.5" height makes this one of the more install-friendly Professional Series builds. Verify the 15" depth against available trunk space.

Yes. This enclosure is designed exclusively for the JL Audio 10W7AE-3. The internal volume, port tuning, port area, cutout diameter, and baffle bolt pattern are all matched to this specific driver. It is not a universal 10" box. Do not attempt to install a different driver without verifying cutout diameter (8.74") and mounting depth (8.0").
Why is the net volume 1.7 cu ft when JL Audio recommends 1.5 cu ft ported?
JL Audio's 1.5 cu ft recommendation is their minimum optimized ported volume for this driver. This enclosure runs 1.7 cu ft, a deliberate step above that minimum, which gives the driver more breathing room relative to its Vas of 1.28 cu ft and produces a smoother, more extended low-frequency response at the same 33Hz tuning. The result is a more gradual low-frequency rolloff and a less peaked output curve, the right tradeoff for a SQ-oriented build.
What impedance does the 10W7AE-3 present to my amplifier?
The 10W7AE-3 has a single 3Ω voice coil. There are no wiring options. Your amplifier sees 3Ω directly. Most amplifiers stable at 4Ω will handle a 3Ω load without issue. Match your amplifier's rated output at 3Ω or 4Ω to the driver's recommended power range of 300W–750W RMS.
What does pre-wired mean exactly?
The Proline X terminal cup comes pre-wired with 12-gauge OFC speaker wire run from the terminal to the driver mounting location inside the enclosure. When you install the 10W7AE-3 and connect it to the internal leads, the wiring is complete. Connect your amplifier's speaker output to the terminal cup and the system is ready to run.
What makes the Professional Series different from other Proline X enclosure lines?
The Professional Series is built around individual drivers, not universal dimensions. Every build starts with the driver's published Thiele-Small parameters and works outward from there. The result is driver-specific airspace and port tuning, a 1.5" double-layer baffle minimum, threaded inserts matched to the driver's bolt pattern, extensive internal bracing, and Plush Black carpet as the standard finish. Other Proline X lines are designed to fit a class of drivers. The Professional Series is designed for one driver.
Is shipping actually included or are there fees added at checkout?
Shipping is fully included. What you see is what you pay, no freight charges, no handling fees at checkout. The enclosure ships via UPS Ground at approximately 65 lbs. Allow 2–5 business days for final assembly before it ships.
Will this enclosure fit in my vehicle?
The enclosure is 32" wide, 12.5" tall, and 15" deep. At 12.5" tall it is one of the lower-profile Professional Series builds, which improves fitment in vehicles with limited trunk height. The 15" depth is the critical dimension for most trunk installations. Measure your available space carefully before ordering.
Does the enclosure come assembled and ready to install?
Yes. The enclosure arrives fully assembled, carpeted, and pre-wired. Install the 12W7AE-3 into the baffle opening using the #10-32 machine screws into the threaded inserts, connect the driver's voice coil lead to the internal wiring, and connect your amplifier to the terminal cup. The driver is not included and must be ordered separately.
