Every trace touches the limit and no further, because each is drawn at the exact power that puts that coil on 16.0 mm. Unfiltered that is 557 W, reached first at 20 Hz. It sits under the 600 W the driver can take thermally, so the enclosure sets the ceiling, not the voice coil. Installer's take

The T1D210 is the 10" version of Rockford's flagship Power Series subwoofer platform. Same core engineering as the T1D212, VAST surround technology, FlexFit basket, SWIFT terminals, Kevlar-reinforced paper cone, anodized aluminum voice coil former, inductive damping heat sink, Klippel-verified motor characterization. Scaled down to a 10" cone form factor with a proportionally smaller motor structure. 600 watts RMS CEA-2031 rated instead of the 12"'s 800W, 16mm one-way Xmax (same as the 12"), and a substantially smaller cabinet footprint.

The math on this box lands where it should. 0.95 cu ft gross minus the T1D210's 0.204 cu ft total driver displacement = 0.746 cu ft net. RF's published sealed spec is 0.75 cu ft net. Direct hit. Same principle as the 12" T1 build, we're building to RF's actual displacement number (0.204), not the smaller cone-body-only figure (0.078) that appears on Rockford's public spec sheet. Boxes designed to the published 0.078 number end up around 16% oversize.

Wedge geometry is the standard PO trunk-load pattern, sized appropriately for a 10". 20.75" wide, 13.5" tall, 8.125" deep at top, 13" deep at bottom. This is a standard-depth wedge (not shallow like the JL TW3/TW5 series) because the T1D210's 6.375" mounting depth needs real cabinet depth to fit. The 8.125" top face provides enough clearance for the driver's basket flange behind the vertical baffle, and the 13" bottom face gives the motor structure ample room.

Cabinet size relative to the 12" T1 wedge: about 60% of the gross volume, in a footprint that's ~4" narrower and 1.5" shorter. If you're in a compact sedan trunk, a coupe with a shallow parcel shelf, or a hatchback/wagon cargo area where the 12" cabinet would be too big or too tall, the 10" fits where the 12" won't.

Cabinet weight loaded: roughly 45-50 pounds total (25.7 lb driver plus the enclosure). Manageable for one-person install but two-person is still smart if you're threading it around interior trim during the install.

Power target: RF specs 600 watts RMS. Sweet spot is 400-600 watts. If you're building for max SPL, feed it the full 600W from a 1-ohm-stable class D monoblock (SWIFT parallel wiring). If you're building for musical daily-driver use, 400-500W at 1-2 ohms will deliver plenty of impact without pushing the driver's thermal envelope. RF's own T500-1bdCP monoblock is the natural amp match. 1-ohm stable Constant Power design that hits its full rated output regardless of impedance load.

The T1D210 is somewhat surprising musically for a driver in this category. VAST surround technology gives it more effective cone area than a conventional 10" driver, so it moves more air per stroke and reaches lower cleanly. Combined with the Klippel-verified motor and progressive-roll spider design, it has low distortion at typical listening levels, not just at SPL competition volumes. This makes the T1D210 more of a "does both" driver than the SPL-only reputation of the T1 line might suggest.

Sealed vs ported: RF supports both. Ported gets you 1.5 cu ft net at ~32-35 Hz tuning, adds 3-4 dB in the 40-50 Hz range, but doubles cabinet volume and loses transient accuracy. If you want SPL, ported is the answer. If you want musical accuracy or if cabin real estate is limited, sealed is the answer. This box is the sealed answer.

Same JL-style crossover approach applies: subsonic filter around 25-30 Hz to protect against below-Fs excursion, low-pass around 80-100 Hz depending on front-stage capability.
