Performance in this enclosure
01Is it a sealed driver?
Efficiency bandwidth product places the motor before anything else is decided.
02What the box does to it
0.76 cu ft against a 6.8 L Vas.
03The watts that reach Xmax (in this enclosure)
Travel scales with the square root of power, so there is one wattage that puts the cone exactly on 31.25 mm — and a bigger one once a subsonic filter stops it wasting travel below the passband.
| Param | Value | Unit | Note |
|---|---|---|---|
| Fs | 43.10 / 39.60 | Hz | free-air resonance |

| Vas | 6.79 / 8.67 | L | equivalent compliance |

Installer's take
This is the sound-quality flagship of the wedge line with the volume knob unlocked. Each Solo X 10 gets its own 0.76 cubic foot chamber at the same maximally damped mid-0.5s Qtc as the single 10, so you keep the gated-sample transient control and add 6 dB of capability from the second cone. For a serious SQ truck build with real output demands, this is the box I would spec.
The full-height divider is doing two jobs. It isolates each driver in its own air so neither modulates the other's alignment, and it stiffens a 27.75 inch wide cabinet right at its widest span. Two drivers sharing one chamber would trade the precision this alignment exists for; that is not a compromise we build.
Matched coils, identical wiring, one cup. A pair of dual 1-ohm 10s lands at 1 ohm or 4 ohms in the common configurations; a pair of dual 2-ohm at 2 ohms or 0.5. Map that against your amplifier before choosing drivers, and remember the pair wants real power: 2000-4000 clean watts across the two per Kicker's per-driver recommendation.
In the cab, the low-Q anechoic rolloff and rising cabin gain cancel almost perfectly, so the pair plays flat and deep in the vehicle while staying bone-dry on transients. Fit: 27.75 wide, 13.5 tall, 16.25 deep at the floor tapering to 11.375. Measure the clear span behind the seat between belt towers before ordering.
Questions
Will my Kicker Solo X 10s fit this enclosure?
Yes. Each baffle opening is CNC-cut to Kicker's published 9-5/16 inch cutout for the Solo X L7X 10, and each chamber clears the required 9-7/16 inch mounting depth with margin, including breathing room for the vented motors. Both coil versions fit; just use a matched pair.
Why two separate chambers instead of one shared volume?
Because this box exists for control, and shared air destroys control. When two drivers see one volume, each cone's compression stroke changes the pressure the other operates against, smearing the transient precision a maximally damped alignment is built to deliver. The full-height 3/4 inch divider gives each Solo X 10 its own 0.76 cubic feet, keeps both chambers identical, and braces the cabinet's widest span at the same time.
Do both subwoofers need to be the same coil version?
Yes. Run two dual 1-ohm drivers or two dual 2-ohm drivers, never one of each. Identical drivers wired identically off the shared cup split power evenly and move in lockstep; mixed coils create unequal branch impedances and unbalance the pair. A dual 1-ohm pair commonly wires to 1 or 4 ohms, a dual 2-ohm pair to 0.5 or 2 ohms; pick whichever lands on your amplifier's rated load.
How much power should I run to a pair of Solo X 10s?
Kicker recommends 1000-2000 watts RMS per Solo X 10, so plan 2000-4000 watts RMS of clean power across the pair at your wired impedance. The maximally damped chambers keep both cones loaded hard through the passband, which is what makes the top of that range genuinely usable. Set gains with a scope or DMM and one strong monoblock into the shared cup is all the system needs.
How does the dual 10 compare to the single 15 wedge?
They are different answers to different questions. The pair of 10s gives you nearly 12-inch-class cone area in a 13.5 inch tall cabinet with the tightest damping in the line; the 15 stands 18.25 inches, runs the classic Butterworth 0.707, and reaches deeper anechoically with its 45 Hz F3. If your priority is transient precision and a lower profile, take the dual 10s. If it is extension and effortless low-end weight from one big cone, take the 15. Output capability between them is closer than the driver sizes suggest.
Will this wedge fit behind the seat of my truck?
You need 27.75 inches of width, 13.5 inches of height, and 16.25 inches of depth at the floor; the top needs only 11.375 inches thanks to the 20 degree baffle rake, and the vertical rear panel sits flat against the cab wall. Height and depth are friendly for a dual 10; width is the dimension to verify, so measure the clear span behind your seat between belt towers and trim before ordering.
Are the subwoofers included with this enclosure?
No, this listing is the enclosure only. It is built for a matched pair of Kicker Solo X L7X 10s, which you install using the pressed 8/32 threaded inserts and the two sets of included stainless mounting hardware.
