Installer's take

The 36Hz tuning on this enclosure hits the right balance for a single 10" ported build. You get strong output through the upper bass and usable extension into the low 30s without pushing port velocity into the range where chuffing becomes an issue. At 1.25 ft³ net the driver has enough room to move efficiently. This is not an undersized ported box that sacrifices output to hit a compact dimension target. The 7.75" max mounting depth covers most standard 10" drivers. High-excursion competition motors with extended baskets are the exception. Measure your driver's published mounting depth before ordering. At 19" wide and 16.25" deep this enclosure fits in most standard trunk setups. The depth is the dimension to watch. 16.25" is deeper than the sealed P10-S, so measure your available trunk depth before committing.

The P10-P has a net internal volume of 1.25 ft³. This is sized to work efficiently with a wide range of standard 10" drivers in a ported alignment without requiring volume correction or additional damping material.

What is the enclosure tuned to and why does it matter?

The P10-P is tuned to 36Hz. Tuning frequency sets the point where port output peaks and driver excursion is minimized. At 36Hz you get strong output through the upper bass and into the mid-bass range without the steep rolloff that comes with a higher tuning point. It is a general-purpose tuning that works well across hip-hop, rock, and electronic music, not optimized for a single genre.
