Installer's take

The 2.25 ft³ net volume gives dual 10" drivers real room to operate in a ported alignment. This is not a compressed box that limits excursion to hit a compact target, the internal volume is sized to let the drivers work efficiently at the 36Hz tuning point. The result is output that tracks closely with what the drivers are actually capable of, not what a undersized box will allow. The 17.5" depth is the spec to plan around. This is a dedicated trunk build. It is not going behind a rear seat. Measure your available trunk depth before ordering. The 8" max mounting depth covers most standard and high-excursion 10" drivers. Single terminal cup handles both drivers internally. Both must be run at the same impedance. Confirm your amplifier output and driver impedances before wiring.

Questions

What is the net internal volume of the P10D-P?

The P10D-P has a net internal volume of 2.25 ft³. This is sized to work efficiently with a wide range of dual 10" drivers in a ported alignment at the 36Hz tuning point.

What is the enclosure tuned to and why does it matter?

The P10D-P is tuned to 36Hz. Tuning frequency sets the point where port output peaks and driver excursion is minimized. At 36Hz you get strong output through the upper bass and usable extension into the low 30s without the steep rolloff that comes with a higher tuning point. It is a general-purpose tuning that works well across hip-hop, rock, and electronic music.

What is the maximum driver mounting depth this enclosure supports?

The P10D-P supports a maximum mounting depth of 8". This covers the majority of standard and high-excursion 10" drivers. Check your driver's published mounting depth before ordering.

Does each driver have its own terminal cup?

No. The P10D-P uses a single terminal cup shared between both drivers. The drivers are wired internally to the cup, which requires both drivers to be run at the same impedance. The terminal cup is an ABS/Carbon Fiber Composite recessed unit with stainless steel hardware and copper ring terminals.

How does the P10D-P compare to the P10D-S sealed version?

The P10D-P is tuned to 36Hz and produces higher output with more low-frequency extension than the sealed P10D-S. The tradeoff is depth, the P10D-P is 17.5" deep versus 10.75" for the P10D-S. If you have the trunk depth and want maximum output from dual 10" drivers, the P10D-P is the correct choice. If space is the primary constraint or you need tighter, more accurate bass, the P10D-S sealed is the better fit.

What finish options are available?

Both finishes are available at checkout via the variant selector.

How long does it take to ship?

Proline X enclosures are assembled to order. Allow 2–5 business days for final assembly, bonding, and finishing before your order ships. Shipping is included. No freight charges at checkout.

Is this the V3 version?

Yes. V3 adds V-groove and dado joinery, increased internal bracing, the in-house ABS/Carbon Fiber Composite terminal cup, and pre-wired 12g OFC speaker wire. This listing has been updated in place, the V2 is no longer available.
