This enclosure holds 0.60 cu ft net per chamber. In it the Arc Audio A10 runs a system Qtc of 0.88 with half power at 41.8 Hz, and the cone reaches its 12.76 mm travel limit at 300 W, above the driver’s 250 W thermal rating, so heat stops you before travel does. Run a subsonic filter at 25 Hz and that becomes 327 W — +27 W, or 9 percent more power for the same 12.76 mm of travel.

01Is it a sealed driver?

Efficiency bandwidth product places the motor before anything else is decided.

At 52.8 the A10 sits in the transition band, not the sealed band. That is not a mismatch: a transition motor works in either alignment, and sealed buys a smaller box and a gentler roll-off at the cost of some low-end output. Stage 02 shows what this airspace actually does with it.

The box lifts resonance from 27.0 Hz free-air to 50 Hz and half power lands at 41.8 Hz, anechoic, before any cabin gain.

03The watts that reach Xmax (in this enclosure)

Travel scales with the square root of power, so there is one wattage that puts the cone exactly on 12.76 mm — and a bigger one once a subsonic filter stops it wasting travel below the passband.

Every trace touches the limit and no further, because each is drawn at the exact power that puts that coil on 12.76 mm. Unfiltered that is 300 W, reached first at 29 Hz. It sits above the 250 W the driver can take thermally, so the voice coil gives up before the suspension does. The dashed traces are the same driver behind a subsonic filter at 25 Hz, 24 dB/oct: stopping the cone wasting travel below the passband lets it take 327 W before hitting the same 12.76 mm. That is 9 percent more amplifier for the price of one filter setting.

Installer's take

The Arc Audio A10 is a straightforward shallow-mount 10" that has earned its place in daily-driver installs. It is not a flat-Qtc SQ driver like the ResoNix GUS series and it is not a high-Qts warm-bass daily driver like the Alpine RS-W10D4. It sits in the middle at a Qts of approximately 0.51, which in a 0.60 cubic foot sealed box produces an elevated Qtc that delivers strong output in the upper bass range without needing DSP correction to sound good. That is the character Arc Audio designed the A10 for, and it is what this enclosure is built to support.Arc Audio publishes a sealed enclosure range of 0.40 to 0.90 cubic feet with 0.60 identified as optimal. This enclosure delivers exactly 0.60 cubic feet of net acoustic airspace. Not approximately, not close to. Exactly. The volume is calculated by summing every CNC-cut layer's individual opening rather than assuming an internal cavity based on external dimensions minus wall thickness, so the number listed is the actual airspace the A10 loads into once installed. This is the same volume calculation methodology we use across the entire GUS series and every other Micro Series build.At 250 watts RMS the A10 is not particularly demanding structurally. The double-layer 1.5" baffle, dowel reinforcement, and Langboard Elite MDF spec are the same standard applied to the 800-watt GUS-12 and the 1,500-watt GUS-15. It is not overbuilt for the A10, but it is not scaled down either.

The Micro Series construction standard is applied uniformly because the goal is an enclosure that holds its geometry and acoustic seal for the life of the vehicle, not just the first 12 months. Building down to the A10's power spec would produce an enclosure that ages poorly and eventually loses acoustic seal at the joints. We do not build that way.The 3.77-inch mounting depth of the A10 fits comfortably in the 6-inch enclosure with adequate clearance behind the magnet. The precision-milled magnet relief area serves two purposes here: it fine-tunes the volume to hit the 0.60 cubic foot target exactly, and it maintains open area behind the driver's pole vent for voice coil cooling airflow.

The A10's magnet structure is not exotic (it uses a stamped-steel basket and a standard ferrite motor), but the cooling principle applies to every driver in a sealed box. Backpressure behind the vent restricts the airflow that carries heat away from the voice coil former. Precision milling behind the magnet keeps that pathway open. Wire the D2 in parallel for 1 ohm or series for 4 ohms. Wire the D4 in parallel for 2 ohms or series for 8 ohms. The A10's power rating is 250 watts RMS. A monoblock delivering 200 to 250 watts RMS at your final impedance is the target. Do not significantly exceed 250 watts RMS. The A10 is not designed for competition-level power handling.One honest note about Xmax.

Arc Audio publishes 15.2mm of one-way linear excursion for the A10. Independent Klippel testing has shown the actual BL 70% Xmax closer to 10.2mm on tested samples, which is common for drivers in this price and category class. The A10 is still a capable daily-driver subwoofer at real-world listening levels. It is not designed to hit peak output at 20 Hz, and it is not the driver to choose if that is your goal. If maximum extension and output in the sub-30 Hz range is what you need, look at the GUS series builds in this collection.

Questions

Does this enclosure include the Arc Audio A10 subwoofer?

No. This is an enclosure-only product designed for customers who already own or are separately purchasing the Arc Audio A10 in either the D2 or D4 impedance configuration. The enclosure ships pre-wired with the Proline X terminal cup, 8/32 threaded inserts, stainless machine screws, pre-installed polyfill, and rubber feet for downfiring installation.

Why is this enclosure 0.60 cubic feet?

Arc Audio publishes a sealed enclosure range of 0.40 to 0.90 cubic feet for the A10, with 0.60 cubic feet identified as the optimum. This enclosure delivers exactly 0.60 cubic feet of net acoustic airspace. At this volume the A10's system Qtc lands in the elevated range, producing warm, impactful bass with strong upper-bass presence. This is the sound Arc Audio designed the A10 to produce and it is the volume Arc Audio publishes as optimal.

I did the math on the external dimensions and the volume looks bigger than 0.60 cu ft. Is this enclosure oversized?

No. The math customers typically run is: external dimensions of 24" × 14" × 6" minus 3/4" walls on all six sides leaves an assumed internal cavity of 22.5" × 12.5" × 4.5", which works out to roughly 0.73 cubic feet, about 0.13 cu ft larger than the listed 0.60. That math is incorrect for four reasons. First, the front baffle is a double-layer stack-fab build at 1.5 inches thick, not 3/4" (twice the assumed wall thickness on the highest-stress panel). Second, viewed from above, all four corners are radiused at 3 inches.

The radii break up parallel-wall standing wave geometry, produce a finished shape that fits cleanly against vehicle interior surfaces, and remove measurable internal volume from the apparent rectangular cavity. Third, the area directly behind the driver's magnet is precision-milled to allow fine volume adjustment and, more importantly, to maintain open area immediately behind the A10's pole vent so backpressure does not interfere with voice coil cooling airflow. Fourth, the driver itself displaces internal airspace once installed.

Our engineering approach is built on precision. Every CNC-cut layer's individual opening is calculated and summed to arrive at the actual net airspace. No one else in this industry calculates net volume this way. The 0.60 cubic foot figure is exact, not approximate.

How does the A10 compare to the other 10" drivers in the Micro Series?

The A10 sits between the low-Qts SQ drivers (like the ResoNix GUS-10) and the high-Qts warm-bass daily drivers (like the Alpine RS-W10D4) in the Micro Series lineup. Its Qts of approximately 0.51 produces an elevated Qtc in the 0.60 cubic foot sealed target, which delivers a warm, upper-bass-forward response that suits daily-driver installs without requiring DSP correction. The GUS-10 has a Qts of 0.35 and produces a flat 0.707 Qtc alignment requiring DSP for balanced in-cabin response. The RS-W10D4 has a Qts of 1.19 and produces a strongly elevated Qtc that emphasizes upper-bass punch. The A10 is the middle-ground option: warm and impactful without being aggressive, capable without requiring active processing to sound good.

What amplifier power does the A10 require?

The Arc Audio A10 is rated at 250 watts RMS with 500 watts peak. Target a monoblock delivering 200 to 250 watts RMS at your final load impedance. For the D2 wired parallel at 1 ohm, an amplifier explicitly rated for sustained 1-ohm operation is required. For the D4 wired parallel at 2 ohms, a standard 2-ohm-stable monoblock in this power range is the correct pairing. Do not significantly exceed 250 watts RMS. The A10 is designed for daily-driver power levels, not competition-level thermal loads.

Can I run this enclosure downfiring?

Yes. Rubber feet for downfiring are included with the enclosure. The A10's standard round mounting flange seals cleanly against the baffle gasket in either orientation. Downfiring in truck cab installs couples bass output with the vehicle floor, which reinforces the low-frequency response and works well with the A10's warm, upper-bass-forward character in this enclosure size.

Will this fit behind or under the seat of my truck?

At 6" total depth, 24" wide, and 14" tall, this enclosure fits behind or under the seat in most full-size crew cab and extended cab trucks including the Ford F-150, F-250, Silverado, Sierra, Ram 1500, and Ram 2500. Seat floor clearance varies by model and trim. Measure the available depth at both the front and rear of the install location before purchasing.

What makes this enclosure different from a generic 10" sealed box for the A10?

Generic 10" sealed boxes for the A10 are typically built to approximate internal volumes without controlled tolerances, assembled with single-layer panels and glue-only joints, and sold as universal fits across multiple driver models. This enclosure is machined to the A10's specific 9-3/16" cutout diameter, built to Arc Audio's exact published 0.60 cubic foot optimum volume, and uses double-layer stack-fab Langboard Elite MDF panels with dowel reinforcement throughout. The area directly behind the driver's magnet is precision-milled to maintain voice coil cooling airflow, a detail most enclosure manufacturers do not address.

The Proline X terminal cup is pre-wired with 12-gauge OFC internally, and 8/32 threaded inserts (rather than wood screws) mount the driver. Every structural and acoustic element is engineered to hold its precision over the life of the installation.
