Performance in this enclosure
01Is it a sealed driver?
Efficiency bandwidth product places the motor before anything else is decided.
02What the box does to it
0.40 cu ft against a 17.0 L Vas.
03The watts that reach Xmax (in this enclosure)
Travel scales with the square root of power, so there is one wattage that puts the cone exactly on 20.0 mm — and a bigger one once a subsonic filter stops it wasting travel below the passband.

Installer's take
The 44" width is the defining physical characteristic of this build. Most full-size crew cab and extended cab trucks have 44–48" of usable floor width behind the rear seat. The M10D-S WAV is designed to span that floor, placing both drivers at opposite ends of the available space. In downfire orientation, which is where this enclosure performs best, both drivers couple directly to the truck cab floor across its full width, producing even bass distribution throughout the cabin rather than a localized bass bloom from a single central driver. This is the correct install orientation for a behind-seat truck cab build.
Questions
Does this enclosure include the Wavtech thinPRO 10 subwoofers?
No. This is an enclosure-only product. Both Wavtech thinPRO 10 drivers must be purchased separately. The enclosure ships with the Proline X terminal cup pre-wired to both driver positions, 8/32 threaded inserts and stainless machine screws for both drivers, polyfill pre-installed in both chambers, and rubber feet for downfiring installation.50
The listed volume is 0.40 cu ft per chamber. Is that Wavtech's recommended volume?
Wavtech's sealed sweet spot for the thinPRO 10 is 0.35 cubic feet of net acoustic airspace. The listed 0.40 cubic feet per chamber is the gross chamber volume before driver displacement is subtracted. Each thinPRO 10 displaces approximately 0.05 cubic feet. After the driver is installed, each chamber provides 0.35 cubic feet of net acoustic airspace. Exactly Wavtech's published optimum. The 0.40 figure is the gross chamber volume, not the acoustic airspace the driver sees.58
Why is this enclosure 44 inches wide?
The 44-inch width is designed to span the full floor width of most full-size crew cab and extended cab trucks. This places both drivers at opposite ends of the available floor space rather than clustering them together. In downfire orientation, each driver couples to a different section of the floor, producing more even bass distribution across the full cabin width. For non-truck installs, confirm 44 inches of available width before purchasing. This is a significantly wider enclosure than any single-driver build in the series.66
What impedance does this system present to my amplifier?
The final impedance depends on which thinPRO 10 variant you choose and how the drivers are wired. Two thinPRO10-4 (Single 4Ω) wired in parallel present a 2Ω final load, the recommended configuration for broadest amplifier compatibility. Two thinPRO10-2 (Single 2Ω) wired in parallel present a 1Ω load, maximum power extraction, requires an amplifier explicitly rated for sustained 1Ω operation. Two thinPRO10-2 wired in series present a 4Ω load, the safest electrical configuration. Confirm your amplifier's minimum stable impedance before selecting your driver variant.74
There is only one terminal cup. How are both drivers wired?
The Proline X terminal cup is pre-wired internally with 12-gauge OFC running to both driver mounting positions. You connect your single amplifier run to the terminal cup and both drivers receive signal. The wiring from the terminal cup to each driver is internal. No external splicing or Y-connectors are required. The final impedance at the terminal cup depends on how the two drivers are wired together internally, which is determined by the voice coil variant you select and the wiring configuration you choose at installation.82
What amplifier power does this system require?
Each Wavtech thinPRO 10 is rated at 750 watts RMS, for a combined rating of 1,500 watts RMS. Target a monoblock delivering 1,000–1,500 watts RMS at your final load impedance. For the recommended 2Ω configuration (two thinPRO10-4s in parallel), a monoblock stable at 2Ω in the 1,000–1,500 watt RMS range is the correct pairing. Do not significantly exceed 750 watts RMS per driver. Thermal limits are the ceiling, and overpowering shallow-mount drivers in sealed enclosures is the primary failure mode.90
Is downfiring the recommended orientation for this enclosure?
Yes, for behind-seat truck cab installs it is. The 44-inch wide format lays flat across the full cab floor in downfire orientation, coupling both drivers' output directly to the floor surface. This produces a more even bass distribution across the full cabin width compared to front-firing against the seat back. Rubber feet are included. No additional hardware required for downfire. For cargo floor installs in SUVs or sedans, front-firing may be more practical depending on the available space and cargo needs.98
What makes this different from running two separate single-driver enclosures?
A single integrated dual-chamber enclosure maintains acoustic isolation between both drivers without the complexity of positioning and bracing two separate boxes. The shared chamber divider is CNC-cut and dado-jointed to the same standard as the exterior walls. It is a structural element, not a loose partition. Both drivers are fed from a single terminal cup, simplifying the amplifier connection. The integrated format also ensures both drivers are at the same listening distance from the cab floor in downfire orientation, which matters for phase coherence at the listening position.106
