Down-Firing Series

Down-firing enclosures load against the vehicle floor rather than radiating into the cabin directly. That keeps the cone protected, hides the driver, and lets a box sit under a rear seat or in a cargo bay where a forward-firing cabinet would not fit.

Every down-fire model is CNC cut in Tullahoma, Tennessee from 3/4" Langboard Elite MDF with V-groove and dado joinery. The front baffle is double-layer 1.5" MDF, with the outer layer machined as a flush recess so the driver mounts to the inner layer. Bracing is a perimeter cross-brace on sealed bodies and a windowed brace between the cutout and the port terminus on ported ones. The terminal cup is a side-mounted Proline X ABS and carbon-fiber composite pre-wired in 12-gauge OFC, with one cup wired to both positions on dual models. Warranty is one year limited on the enclosure.

Damping follows the alignment: polyfill pre-installed in sealed chambers, dry in ported chambers, because polyfill detunes a ported box. The down-fire catalogue runs 144 live models from 8" to 15", 73 sealed and 71 ported, single, dual and triple.
